En el mes de junio, los alumnos de 7mo grado y sus docentes de Inglés visitamosel cementerio de la Recoleta como cierre del primer proyecto del año.
El mismo se desarrolló durante todo el
bimestre mayo -junio y trabajamos en base a un booklet diseñado específicamente
para ese fin.
La serie de salidas educativas comenzó
con la sección A, para luego completar con los otros dos séptimos.

El proyecto tuvo varios ejes tales como historia en la ciudad, formas de vida, distintos diseños y estructuras arquitectónicas a fines del siglo XIX, comparándolas con estructuras edilicias actuales que podemos apreciar en nuestra ciudad de Buenos Aires.
También se trabajó sobre el eje
literario, estudiando los mitos urbanos como tema principal abordando historias
alrededor del cementerio de la Recoleta.

Los alumnos pudieron conocer sobre muchas personalidades famosas e históricas enterradas en el cementerio como Sarmiento, José C. Paz, el General Aramburu; asimismo tuvieron la oportunidad de descubrir algunas personalidades enigmáticas debido a las características de sus vidas y muertes. Tal es el caso de “La Dama de Blanco”, “La niña que murió dos veces”, etc.; siempre tomando estas historias y mitos como excusa para trabajar sobre la práctica de la lengua extranjera.

Durante la visita nos acompañó una guía especializada en arte que vino especialmente de los Estados Unidos, y conversamos sobre los diferentes mitos urbanos que habitan en el cementerio. Los alumnos compartieron con la guía lo estudiado en clase y se mostraron muy interesados en el recorrido del cementerio aportando información acerca de las personalidades enterradas en el mismo.
Fue una experiencia enriquecedora; los
chicos disfrutaron enormemente el paseo y de acuerdo a sus interesantes devoluciones,
recomiendan volver a realizarlo en los próximos años.
In June, the 7th grade students and their English teachers visited the
Recoleta cemetery as the culmination of their first project of the year. The
project took place throughout the May-June bimester and was based on a booklet
specifically designed for this purpose. The series of educational outings began
with section A, and was then completed with the other two 7th grade sections.
The project had several topics, such as the history of the city, ways of
life, and different architectural designs and structures from the late 19th
century, comparing them with current building structures that can be found in
our city of Buenos Aires. The literary aspect was also explored, studying urban
myths as the main topic and addressing stories surrounding the Recoleta cemetery.
The students were able to learn about many famous and historical
personalities buried in the cemetery, such as Sarmiento, José C. Paz, and
General Aramburu. They also had the opportunity to discover some enigmatic
personalities due to the characteristics of their lives and deaths, such
as "The Lady in White" and "The Girl
Who Died Twice", always using these stories and myths as an excuse to
practice the foreign language.
During the visit, we were accompanied by a specialized art guide who
came especially from the United States. We discussed the different urban myths
that inhabit the cemetery, and the students shared what they had learned in
class with the guide. They were very interested in the cemetery tour and
provided information about the personalities buried there.
It was an enriching experience; the students greatly enjoyed the outing and, based on their interesting feedback, recommend doing it again in the coming years.
