Excalibur - 6to grado

As a final task for the Literature workshop, the students worked in groups to dramatize a scene from the story “Excalibur”. Each of the groups chose a scene they liked and prepared a dialogue. The groups were very creative and we had lots of fun.

Como trabajo final del taller de Literatura, los alumnos trabajaron en grupo para dramatizar una escena de la historia “Excalibur”. Cada grupo eligió una escena de su agrado y preparó un diálogo para recrearla. Hubo gran creatividad y nos divertimos mucho incorporando este aprendizaje.

A mixed-up fairy tale - 1er ciclo

Luego de haber trabajado en las aulas con diversas historias (Caperucita Roja, Los 101 dálmatas y Alicia en el País de las Maravillas), con los chicos y chicas de primero, segundo y tercer grado tuvimos la oportunidad de ver en nuestro SUM, la obra de teatro en inglés. “A mixed-up fairy tale”, por la compañía  Stories in a Bag  a cargo de la narradora y profesora Fabiana Parano. Disfrutamos de la historia, los personajes y las canciones. Hermosa experiencia, y todo, ¡en inglés! After having worked with Little Red Riding Hood, The 101 Dalmatians and Alice in Wonderland in our English classes, first, second and third grades had the opportunity to watch the play "A mixed-up fairy tale", performed by Fabiana Parano (a professional narrator and teacher) and her company, Stories in a Bag. We enjoyed a lot, not only the story itself, but also the characters and the songs. A great experience in English!

4th Form • Art Workshop

Every Monday afternoon, we have our Art Workshop in English. We learn about the life of different artists and analyze their most famous masterpieces. We discover lots of information about the painters and the museums where we can find their paintings. Currently, we are learning about Vincent Van Gogh, a Dutch artist that you´ve probably heard of!!!. We analysed "Bedroom in Arles" and "Starry Night" and learnt about the artistic movement called "post-impressionism". We even painted our own versions of those pieces of art! Finally we discovered the sunflower maze at the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands and the MoMA (Museum of Modern Arts) in New York.     Starry Night (interactive animation) from Petros Vrellis on Vimeo .

Tercer Grado • Visita a la planta de Bimbo

El viernes 3 de mayo, los alumnos de Tercer grado A realizamos una visita guiada a la planta de producción de la empresa Bimbo S.A. que se encuentra en el partido de Pilar. Durante la misma conocimos las instalaciones, su historia y los procesos que lleva a cabo para elaborar algunos de sus productos.   Esta visita la realizamos como parte del proyecto “Del Campo a la Ciudad” donde conocemos qué son y cómo funcionan los circuitos productivos que permiten la llegada de distintos productos a nuestras casas.
